Elaine was an integral member of my birth team. Her presence immediately set me at ease. I knew that I could count on her as I gave in to the rhythm of labor. She was able to support my husband, help to communicate with my midwives when I could not, and she helped give me the tools I needed to focus, relax, and cope with an unmedicated labor.
During the intensity at the end, I felt like I was going to float off the earth but I held her and my husband’s hands and every time a contraction came on she said, “Take a grounding breath.” It seems simple but she intuitively knew exactly what I needed.
I can’t recommend her enough. She is professional, down to earth, intuitive, and knowledgeable.
